Lahore: The annual theatre festival named as Dramafest in The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) has started on Friday and is to continue till Sunday. With Dramaline’s hard work, on the first day of the occasion, spectators observed five plays, marking the start of the competition.
Students performed half-hour long plays, challenging against each other, as the first day of the event extended up to three hours.
According to Dramaline Member Farwa Qasim,
“A total of 16 people teams will be taking part on all three days and there is to a competition between them, awards for which will be announced on Sunday.”
She further added that,
“This is a nationwide contest including higher education institutions like Indus Valley from Karachi, FAST and several other institutions.”
The basic purpose of the event is to supply an opportunity to amateur producers, writers, directors, and actors to display their talents. Participants and spectators from all over the country came to witness the theatrical display of various exceptional themes. The event has been sponsored by Pakistan Today.
Lahore: Style 360 has organized a press conference in order to declare the launch of Pantene Bridal Couture Week at a local hotel.
Lot of designers and models took part in that event. The event was supervised by Shahnaz Ramzi, GM Public Relations, Hum Network who welcomed guests and declared that the Bridal Couture Week would be held at Pearl Continental from 15th to 16th October, 2011.
The whole event comprises four shows with 13 designers participating including those from India.
Vaneeza Ahmed addressed the gathering and gave a briefing about the line-up of designers and models in the two-day event including Ali Xeeshan, Bina Sultan (BNS Couture), Fahad Hussain, Faheem Abbas, Gulzeb Asif, Kosain Kazmi, Mona Imran, Saba (La Chantal), Saba and Misbah (Hijab), Sadaf Arshad, Saira Rizwan, Shayanne Malik (Saman Zar) and Shaziya Kiyani (Shaziya Bridal Gallery). Gutam Rakha, Rahul Rastogi and Shibani Rastogi (Rabani and Rakha) are particularly arriving from India with their collection for event.
She shared the names of the 33 models who will be a part of the event, which include Sunita Marshall, Tooba Siddiqui, Meesha Shafi, Sabeena Pasha, Fauzia Aman, Neha Ahmed, Rabia Butt, Nooray, Mehreen Syed, Zeba Ali, Mehreen Kanwal, Hira Tareen, Rubab, Ayaan, Racheal Gill, Cybil Chaudhry, Konain, Sana Sarfaraz, Marvi Sarfaraz, Sehrish, Baqar, Saima Haroon, Monica Benjamin, Gaiso Khalid, Rehab Daud, Seher Hussain and Amna Babur among others.
Finally Karachi Fashion week is kicked off with renowned fashion designers Collection and models walking gracefully on ramp.
The Karachi fashion week has in progress from 6th October and will charm the people till 9th October 2011.
This mega event is organized by Excellent Event and Entertainment Ltd. Many local and international fashion brands, prêt and couture will be displayed on Karachi fashion week ramp.

We reported you people earlier that Farhan Saeed has left the Jal Band in order to start in sloe career now his place has been filed by Gohar Mumtaz, who has played the lead vocalist for international concert of Jal band.
Gohar Mumtaz of Jal band is now playing as lead singer. Gohar Mumtaz was earlier not only the back vocalist but also played as lead vocalist for song ‘panchhi’ and in many other songs. So, he now manages lead vocals of his band Jal.
In a recent international concert of Jal band Amir Sheraz was on base guitar and Shahzad Hameed as lead guitarist.
Lahore: Saba Qamar a famous anchor of Geo News has been the victim of the Dengue virus, Geo News reported Friday.
Sabahat Qamar, generally known as Saba Qamar, is suffering from Dengue from the past three days. Presently, she is doing fabulously the Geo News program “Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain” and a new drama serial “Jo Chalay To Jan Se Guzar Gaye”.
The Dengue virus has spread across the province and lots of people containing politicians, players and actors have lost their lives after suffering from Dengue fever.
