All of you knew that Our Interior Minister Rehman Malik is infamous for issuing futile and ridiculous statements.

But he does not discontinue to issue useless statements, yesterday he was found saying that PTA would be directed to post every new SIM card to the subscriber’s home/office addresses from 1st May (though he did not mention the year, but we are supposing he meant 2012).
Interior Minister revealed this in the a meeting with members of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) in Karachi.
Neither Telecom industry nor Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has received any orders regarding the issue.
This is not the first time Mr. Malik made random statements, previously he also made some statements which were never materialized:
For Example:

  • Issue Only One SIM per One CNIC
  • SMS may get blocked in Pakistan
  • MNP to Get Banned in Pakistan
  • Google Administrator in Pakistan to be Arrested
